Accessibility statement

Resicoms is a trading name of Places We Share. We want as many people as possible to be able to use this website. We aim to provide a clear, consistent and inclusive experience for visitors using different devices, browsers and assistive technologies.

Scope of this statement

This statement applies to the Resicoms sales website at resicoms.com. It does not cover the separate resident and homeowner platforms created for individual villages and communities. Each of those services should provide accessibility information appropriate to its own content and operation.

Our accessibility target

We use the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.2 at Level AA as our accessibility target. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities.

This website has not yet been subject to a formal independent accessibility audit, so we do not currently claim full conformance with WCAG 2.2 Level AA.

Using this website

We have designed the website so visitors should be able to:

navigate the main content and controls using a keyboard;
use clear headings, labels and link descriptions;
increase text size and zoom without losing essential content;
understand content presented with strong colour contrast;
pause or avoid nonessential motion through reduced motion settings; and
use the website across common phone, tablet and desktop screen sizes.

Measures we take

Our accessibility approach includes:

semantic HTML and a logical heading structure;
a skip link for reaching the main page content;
visible keyboard focus styles;
labels and status messages for website forms;
alternative text for meaningful images;
responsive layouts and generously sized controls; and
accessibility consideration when content and features are changed.

Known limitations

Some product screenshots contain detailed interface text that may not be fully conveyed by their alternative text. Equivalent descriptions of the main functionality are provided on the App features page.

The downloadable buyer guide is supplied as a designed PDF and may not provide the same level of structured navigation or text reflow as the website. The Buyer guide page summarises its contents. You can also contact us for the information in another format.

Content or services provided by third parties may have accessibility features and limitations outside our direct control.

Browser and technology compatibility

The website is designed for current versions of major web browsers and for use with common assistive technologies. Older browsers may not display every visual detail as intended. The site relies on HTML, CSS, JavaScript and SVG icons, with PHP used to process forms and protected downloads.

Assessment approach

This statement is based on self evaluation of the website design, content and code. We will review the statement when substantial changes are made and intend to review it at least annually.
